Valplast and night guard questions
What is a Valplast partial
A partial denture made of Valplast, a flexible nylon by Valplast International. Gum-colored clasps hold it on your own teeth, with no metal.
Valplast denture vs acrylic
Valplast is flexible nylon with no metal and no acrylic monomer. Acrylic is rigid, easier to reline and repair, and holds steel clasps.
Flexible partial dentures
Ours are genuine Valplast, injected from factory-sealed cartridges on the original Valplast system. Many online sellers do not name the nylon they use.
Is your night guard BPA free
Our Erkoflex soft and Erkoloc-pro hybrid guards are sheets of EVA, PETG and TPU, and none of these plastics is made from bisphenol A.
Dual laminate night guard
A guard pressed from 2 bonded layers, hard outside and soft inside. Ours is Erkodent Erkoloc-pro, 3 mm thick.
Soft vs hard night guard
Soft suits light clenching, hard suits heavy grinding. Our soft guard is Erkoflex 2 mm or printed KeySplint Soft, our hard guard is printed KeySplint Hard 2 mm.
What is a hybrid night guard
A dual laminate guard, hard enough for grinding and soft against your teeth. It is our main night guard.
What is a Zendura retainer
A clear retainer pressed from Zendura A, a polyurethane sheet by Bay Materials. Ours is 0.75 mm thick.
Essix retainer material
Ours is Zendura A clear polyurethane. For a missing tooth we add a premium denture tooth such as Ivoclar SR Phonares II, held with light-cure composite.
