A flexible partial with a gum-toned base, held up in a gloved hand
No metal anywhere

Flexible teeth partials

A nylon base the colour of your gum, holding replacement teeth with nothing metal anywhere on it. It bends with your mouth instead of bracing against it.

One flat price: $549 — appliance, impression kit, shipping both ways and 30 days of adjustments included.

The material is the whole idea

The base is a thermoplastic nylon, translucent and tinted so the gum underneath shows through it. Where an acrylic plate needs a wire hook to stay put, the nylon itself is stretched into a finger that wraps the tooth and grips. The finger is the same colour as your gum, so nothing metal ever appears in a photograph.

Nylon is also thin. The plate can be cut half the thickness of an acrylic one and still hold, which is what people notice first. It sits lighter on the palate and the tongue stops searching for it within a day or two.

And it flexes. Slide it in and it gives around the widest part of a tooth, then closes behind it. That is comfortable, and it is also why this build is the usual answer for front teeth.

Three sizes, one material

Flexible flipper

Up to three adjacent teeth. The smallest plate in the family, made for a single run of gaps.

$399 an arch

Two to five teeth

The size most orders take. Enough base to spread the bite across the ridge rather than one point.

$549 an arch

Six to eight teeth

For an arch that has lost most of a side. Wider base, more grip points, same invisible finish.

$649 an arch

Both arches on a single order drops the pair to $949 for the two to five build and $1049 for six to eight.

Where flexible is the wrong answer

We would rather sell you the right plate than the dearer one, so here is the short list against this build. Nylon cannot be relined, and it cannot be repaired in a way that holds. A break or a shrinking ridge means a new plate rather than a bench fix, and an acrylic base handles both of those without drama.

Nylon also gives slightly under a heavy bite. If you chew hard on that side all day, a cast metal frame at $749 stays steadier and lasts longer. And if you have almost no standing teeth left on the arch, there is nothing for the flexible fingers to wrap, so grip will disappoint you.

Everywhere else, and especially anywhere a clasp would show when you smile, this is the build to order.

What arrives and when

  1. Impression kitPosted within two to three business days, worth $49.99 and already inside the price you paid.
  2. Your moldTwo trays taken at home, photographed and approved by a technician before you send the box back.
  3. The plateSix to ten business days of bench time, back to you with cleaning foam and a mirrored case.

Every mold stays on file for two years, so a spare or a replacement never puts you through the putty again. Under Mold Once the repeat comes at thirty percent off.

What people write in and ask

Whether anyone can tell

The base is translucent and gum toned, and there is no metal to catch light, so the honest answer is that most people do not. The giveaway on any removable plate is speech in the first week, not the look.

How long the nylon lasts

Two years of daily wear is normal with cleaning and a case. Heat is the enemy. Hot drinks with it in, boiling water to clean it, or a hot car dashboard will distort the base and that distortion is permanent.

Getting it adjusted later

We adjust nylon at the bench and the first thirty days are free. Do not trim or file it yourself. Nylon tears along a cut edge and a plate that has been carved at home is finished.

Whether it works over an extraction

Wait until your dentist says the site has closed. Gums shrink for weeks afterwards, and a flexible plate cannot be relined to follow them, so molding too early buys a plate that loosens.

Wearing it at night

Take it out. The gum needs pressure-free hours and the plate wants rinsing, and neither of those happens while you sleep in it.
