From your kitchen table to your new smile

After checkout, a licensed dentist in your state reviews your photos. Your impression kit ships only after that review.

An in-person examination with a dentist licensed under chapter 466, Florida Statutes, is recommended before beginning telehealth treatment in order to prevent injury or harm.

Before you open the putty

Skip the mold if your gums bleed, if a filling or a crown is loose, if a tooth moves, or if a tooth is badly decayed. Have a dentist look at all of it first, because the putty grips hard and it can pull a loose crown, a loose filling or a badly decayed tooth out with it.

What happens after you order

Orders before 5 PM Eastern ship the same business day, later ones the next morning.
The kit reaches you by USPS in 3 days or FedEx overnight, and the return label is prepaid.
Three things keep your order moving once the kit is open
  • Get the first mold approved before you mail anything
  • Mold the upper arch and the lower arch, we need the bite
  • Email four photos with the shade guide held beside the gap
When your trays land, a technician checks them again and calls if it is off.
The build takes 6 to 10 business days, then the box ships with its own tracking number. The eight notes below cover everything that usually slows an order down at the bench.

Taking the mold, step by step

  1. Brush and rinseAnything left on a tooth prints straight into the mold.
  2. Pick the trayDry fit each size first. It should clear the teeth without squeezing.
  3. Mix the puttyWork it until the color runs uniform, then fill the tray.
  4. Seat itEase it over the arch and hold steady until the putty firms up.
  5. Read the resultA sharp edge on every tooth, a clean gum border, no air pockets.
  6. Ship itDrop it in the box with the label we sent and the build starts.

Never mold over a wobbly tooth, sore gums or a cavity. Have a dentist look at that before the putty goes in.

How we match your color

Close-up photos we use to match the shade of your appliance

Lab technicians work off your photos and the shade guide you held beside the gap. They match the tooth tone, the gum tone and the shape of the neighbors, because a flawless white tooth next to lived in ones is what gives the whole thing away.

Questions about the process

Time from order to delivery

Figure 6 to 10 business days. The kit takes 2 to 3 each way and the build takes 3 to 7.

What a smile lab teeth impression is

It is a mold of your upper and lower teeth, taken at home with a tray and putty. Your appliance is cut from it, which is why we check a photo first.

If the mold comes out wrong

Send a photo and we answer the same day. The kit holds spare putty for another go, and a new kit is $40.

Whether a dentist has to be involved

No office visit. A licensed dentist in your state reviews your photos after checkout. Keep your checkups, because only a dentist sees what is happening under the gum.

Getting it faster

Rush manufacturing is $150. Your mold goes to the bench the day it lands, and the appliance is done in 3 to 4 business days. Rush delivery runs $45 for one leg, $90 for two, $135 for all three.

If you already have molds

Send them and they become your model on file. Scans, printed models and stone models work, if they show your mouth today.
