- Take the mold at your own table and mail it back with the prepaid label
- We build your retainer in 3 to 4 business days and ship it to your door

Am I the right candidate?
- You are 18 or older
- Your braces are off and you want the result held where it is
- Or one tooth is gone to the gum line and the space has to be covered
- Up to three replacement teeth is the ceiling on one shell
- The gum has settled and stopped changing shape
- You will take it out to eat and rinse it in cool water
Not the right buy if
- A stump or a root is still standing in the gap
- You need something to chew on, which is flipper or partial work
- The socket is days old and the gum is still changing shape
What $139, $209 and $409 buy
An Essix is a thin clear shell pressed over a model of your whole arch. It holds every tooth where it stands, and a shaded tooth can be set inside it to cover a gap.
The impression kit worth $49.99 and the postage both ways are inside every price below.
Both arches with a tooth in one of them is $309, and with a tooth in each it is $409. Rush production takes the bench down to 3 to 4 business days for $150.
A retainer, a pontic, or both jobs at once
The same shell does one job or two. What decides it is whether there is a gap in the arch it covers.
Holding what you have
Over the whole arch after braces or after a small relapse, so nothing drifts back out of line.
Filling the gap
A shaded tooth is set into the shell where the tooth is missing. That build is the pontic retainer.
Both at once
The usual choice while an implant site heals and the gap has to be covered in the meantime.
The shade for the set tooth is matched from your own photos before the shell goes on the press.
Essix with a tooth or a flipper, side by side
Both cover one missing tooth and both come out in one piece. They part company at the table and at the front of your mouth.
| Build | One arch | At the bench | Chewing | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essix with a tooth | $239 | 3 to 4 business days | Out for every meal | Every tooth in the arch |
| Acrylic flipper | $319 | 6 to 10 business days | Soft food, both sides | The gum and the gap |
| Semi-flex flipper | $349 | 6 to 10 business days | Soft food, both sides | The gum and the gap |
What it holds together
What an Essix holds

After braces
Teeth stay where the treatment left them

After a loss
The neighbors stop leaning into the space

Small relapse
Slight movement gets held before it settles in

While you wait
A shaded tooth covers the gap in the meantime

Will this actually fit my mouth
The first three days after an extraction
A fresh socket changes shape faster than anything else in the mouth, and a shell pressed from a mold taken too early stops fitting within weeks.
Days one to three
The clot is forming and the gum is swollen. Nothing should be pressed onto the site, a putty tray least of all.
After the swelling
The gum keeps shrinking back for weeks. A mold taken later still fits far better than one taken on day two.
Who names the day
The surgeon who took the tooth out. Follow the date you were given and take your mold after it.
If you are not sure the gum has settled, send us a photo before you open the putty.
How it seats, and what goes in with it
It clicks down over the arch under fingertip pressure and then sits still. For a day or two it feels tight and your speech thickens a little.
The first two days
Extra saliva and a soft S sound. It settles once the shell has been in and out a few times.
Water only
Water is the one thing to drink with it in. Anything else sits trapped between the shell and the tooth.
Out for meals
Take it out to eat, every single time. The shell cracks under chewing and is not built to take it.
Hot drinks warp a pressed shell faster than anything, so it comes out before the first coffee of the day.
Daily care, and when to replace it
A shell is replaced on condition and not on a date. Clouding, a crack at the edge and a seat that no longer clicks down are the three signs.
Cleaning foamSterilization case
Build faults are ours for 60 days from delivery. Wear, heat and a shell that was sat on are not.
One mold, taken at your kitchen table
There is no appointment anywhere in this. The kit is worth $49.99 and its price is already inside the retainer.
- The kit landsPosted the same or the next business day, and with you 3 days by USPS or overnight by FedEx later.
- You fill the traysTwo trays, two mixes and a photo across to us before the box goes back into the post.
- We press the shellThree to four business days at the bench, then the retainer ships back to your door.
Impression kitHow to take an impression
A second kit is $40 and a fresh set of putty is $25.
Four ways a mold goes wrong, and the fix
You get the reason and a retake, not a one line email with the word rejected in it. A technician walks the second attempt through with you.
The putty ran short
It came out early
The tray sat crooked
It travelled badly
A replacement kit is $40 and putty on its own is $25.
Built in Florida, shipped to every state
Every shell on this page is pressed in Hollywood, Florida, by the lab's own technicians.
The technicians
More than 15 years at the bench each, and the same hands press and trim every shell we ship.
One building, start to finish
Your mold, the model cut from it and the finished shell never leave the bench.
Every state
We ship to all 50 states, and a technician is on 888 886 5530 while you take your mold.
Sixty days on the build, thirty on the fit
Warranty policyRemakes and returns
Your mold stays on file for two years, so a second shell usually needs no new impression from you.
Counting the whole trip, not the bench
The bench takes three to four days. The post on either side of it is what people forget when they count backwards from a date.
Rush production is $150 and overnight shipping starts at $45. A technician says plainly whether your date is reachable before you pay for either.
