$25 a set
The trays are fine, the tub is empty. This is the material on its own, the same two part putty that ships inside every kit, so nothing about the second attempt is a downgrade.
- Enough for one upper mold and one lower mold
- Identical to what came in your kit
- Reuse the trays and the shade guide you already have
Putty or the whole kit
Take the putty when your trays seated well and came out clean, and the only thing that failed was the material. Take the whole kit instead when a tray cracked, went missing, or never sat over the gap without pressing. Ask us if you are weighing it up and we will tell you which box to buy.
Three things that decide a mold
- Equal parts. Scoop the same amount from each tub. More of one and it sets at the wrong speed.
- Forty five seconds of kneading. Work it until you see one even color with no streaks left anywhere.
- Straight into the tray. Load it edge to edge and go to the mouth immediately, because the clock starts the moment the two parts meet.
How to know the mold is good
Hold it up to a window before you decide. A mold that will work reads like a negative of your mouth, crisp everywhere it matters, and one that will not is soft and vague in exactly the place we need most.
- Tooth edges look sharp, not rounded and soft
- The gum line runs unbroken all the way across the gap
- No bubbles sitting where the missing tooth should be
Keep a set in the drawer
A spare set costs less than losing a week to the mail. People who order one usually never open it, and the ones who need it are glad it was already on the shelf. It is the same material we pack into the impression kit, and the steps from mold to appliance are in how it works.
Questions people send us
How many molds one set makes
One upper and one lower, with nothing meaningful to spare. If you expect to try twice, order two sets.
Reusing trays
Yes, as long as they are whole and they fit. Peel the old material out, wash them in cool water and dry them before you load again.
Working time
You have a short window from the moment the two parts touch. Have the tray, the mirror and a timer laid out before you start kneading.
Storing it
Cool, dry and sealed, away from a sunny window and away from the radiator. Unopened tubs keep for a long time, which is most of the reason a spare set is worth having on the shelf.
Sending photos first
Always. Photograph both molds in good light, top and side, and let us look before the box goes in the mail.
If the second mold fails too
Message the lab and someone stays on the line while you take the third. Most retakes come down to tray size or holding still, and both are easier to fix with a voice in your ear.
Whether the material is the same
It is the identical two part putty we pack into every kit, from the same supply. Nothing about the second mold is a lesser version of the first.
Taking a mold on your own
Plenty of people manage it alone, and it is easier with someone holding the timer and the mirror. Give yourself twenty quiet minutes and do the upper arch first.
What payment methods do you accept
Major credit and debit cards, and Klarna or Afterpay in four payments when the order qualifies. Nothing is charged today, because ordering has not opened yet.
How long delivery takes and how to track it
The impression kit reaches you by USPS in 3 days or FedEx overnight, your mold takes the same coming back, and the build follows. Every parcel in the chain carries its own tracking number and the updates come to your phone.
Will this actually fit my mouth
It works with every appliance we build. If anything arrives damaged, tell us and we replace it.
