Custom night guard
A custom mouth guard for teeth grinding is pressed on a model cut from your own mold, so it touches every tooth at once. No chair, no prescription, one number that does not grow after checkout.
One flat price: $119 an arch — the guard, the impression kit, postage both ways and 30 days of adjustments included.

What custom actually means here
Custom is not a word about comfort. It names a step in the build. You take a mold at your own table, we pour a model of your teeth from it, and the shell is pressed onto that model under heat and pressure. What comes off the model is a copy of your bite, not a shape your bite was pushed into.
That is why a custom guard sits still. It touches every tooth at once, so the grinding force spreads across the whole arch rather than landing on the two or three tallest teeth. The shell takes that force so your enamel does not.
Nothing about it needs a dentist. There is no prescription, no fitting appointment and no chair. Keep your checkups all the same, because a dentist sees what is happening under the gum and we do not.

Against a drugstore tray
A boil and bite guard costs $20 to $30 and it is a fair thing to try first. What it cannot do is hold a shape, because it was never built to one. Here is the honest column next to column.
| What you compare | Boil and bite tray | Custom night guard |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $20 to $30 | $119 to $189 an arch |
| How it is shaped | Softened in hot water and bitten into at your sink | Pressed on a plaster model cut from your own mold |
| Fit | One blank for every mouth, so it rests on the tallest teeth and rocks on the rest | Touches every tooth at once, so the load spreads across the arch |
| Over the months | Works loose as the bitten shape relaxes, and reheating it starts again from nothing | Holds the shape it was pressed in until the shell itself wears through |
| Bulk | Thick, because one blank has to suit any bite | Cut to the thickness the build needs and no more |
| If it does not fit | You trim it yourself | 30 days of unlimited adjustments |
A shell that is not built to your bite moves the load instead of taking it. The complaint that follows is bulk, and a guard too bulky to sleep in ends up in a drawer.
Three builds, three prices
These are not three sizes of one guard. What changes is the body of the shell and the job it is shaped to do at night. Every build costs the same for the upper arch and for the lower.

Soft guard
One soft cushioned layer. Light grinding and a first guard. It thins out the fastest of the three.
$119 an arch
Hybrid guard
Hard shell over a soft lining. For a bite that chews through soft guards. It holds its shape the longest.
$159 an arch
Muscle relaxer
A flat, even biting surface. For a jaw that wakes up tired and sore rather than for chipped front edges.
$189 an archNot sure which one is yours, the side by side guide walks all three through a single night.
Where the number goes
A dental office bills the appliance and the visits as separate lines. The mold appointment, the fitting and every adjustment each carry their own charge, and the total only shows up once the work is finished. That is how the trade has always worked and it is not dishonest. It is simply impossible to plan around.
We sell a finished object. The impression kit, worth $49.99, is already inside the price. Postage is prepaid in both directions. The first thirty days of adjustments cost nothing, as many as you need, and a fault in the build is covered for sixty days from the day the box lands.
Two things are genuinely extra and we would rather name them here than at checkout. Rush manufacturing takes the bench down to 3 to 4 business days for $150. Rush shipping runs $45 for one leg of the trip. Skip both and the standard clock still gets you there inside three weeks.
Three steps and it is yours
- The kit reaches youTwo to three business days after the order. Trays, putty and a card that walks you through the mold.
- You take the moldAbout twenty minutes at your own table. Photograph both trays, send the photos, and a technician says go before anything is mailed.
- We press and shipThree business days at the bench in Hollywood, Florida, then two to three days back to your door in a case.
Never taken a mold before, the step by step impression guide shows exactly what a usable tray looks like.
Questions people send us first
How much a custom night guard costs
$119 for the soft build, $159 for the hybrid and $189 for the muscle relaxer, per arch, upper or lower for the same money. The impression kit, the postage both ways and the first 30 days of adjustments are already inside that number.
Whether a custom fit night guard is worth it over a drugstore one
If you grind most nights, yes. A softened tray records the bite you had that evening and rests on the tallest teeth, so it moves the load instead of taking it. A shell pressed on a model of your own teeth touches every tooth at once, and that is what takes the grinding force so your enamel does not.
Whether you can get a custom mouth guard without going to the dentist
Yes. No chair and no office visit. A licensed dentist in your state reviews your photos after checkout. The kit lands by USPS in 3 days or FedEx overnight, you take the mold at your own table and mail it back with the prepaid label. Keep your checkups all the same, because a dentist sees what is happening under the gum and we do not.
Upper or lower, and how to choose
Most people wear the upper, because it seats higher and stays put. Choose the lower if you gag easily on an upper tray. One shell is how a guard is worn, so there is no reason to order both arches at once, and either arch costs the same.
How long a custom night guard lasts
It is set by how hard you grind rather than by a date. A soft shell thins out before a hybrid does, and one hot wash can end either of them. Replace it when it thins through, cracks or stops seating, and a fault in the build is ours for 60 days. Keeping it clean is half of it, and that routine is on how to clean a night guard.
Who should not order one
Anyone with a loose tooth, a filling or a crown on the move, or braces and aligners on those teeth right now. Putty grips hard enough to pull a failing tooth with it, so have that dealt with first.
